Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from

henceforth... that they may rest from their labours;

Dr. George H. Akers

Former Shenandoah Valley Academy (SVA) alumni principal Dr. George H. Akers '43 went to sleep in Jesus at the age of 90 on February 4, 2017. The Shenandoah Valley Academy family celebrates the life and work of this great warrior for God. We look forward with anticipation to the day when Jesus will come in glory to call His faithful home--until the greatest SVA reunion in heaven! Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

The Akers family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00pm, Friday, February 10, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and from 2:30 - 3:30pm, Saturday, February 11, at the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church, followed by funeral services at 3:30pm. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
