Advanced and
Dual Credit Classes

We are convicted that students grow best when challenged, and we are committed to providing opportunities that prepare them for success beyond high school. Shenandoah Valley Academy offers Advanced and Dual Credit Classes for high-achieving students, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for the rigor of higher education. These programs allow students to earn college credit while still in high school, strengthening their academic foundation and broadening their educational experience.

To enroll in Dual Credit courses, students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 and a 3.5 GPA in the subject area.

Advanced and Dual Credit Courses

We deeply value an academic environment where students are encouraged to think critically and excel in their studies. Accordingly, we provide two distinct pathways for advanced learning:

Advanced Classes These courses extend beyond the standard high school curriculum, challenging students to explore subjects in greater depth. Designed to prepare students for college-level coursework and standardized exams, they foster intellectual curiosity and academic discipline.

Dual Credit Classes – Through partnerships with accredited colleges and universities, students may earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. This program not only saves time and tuition costs but also provides a meaningful introduction to the expectations of college-level learning.

Foundation for Future Success

We pledge to offer an academic program that equips students for higher education while strengthening their ability to think independently. Advanced and Dual Credit courses provide students with:

College Credit – Earn credits that may be transferred to many colleges and universities, reducing the time and cost of completing a degree.

Academic Challenge – Engage in rigorous coursework that fosters discipline, critical thinking, and a love of learning.

Early College Experience – Develop the skills necessary to manage college-level expectations in a supportive environment.

Improved College Admissions – Demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence that strengthens college applications.
