Scholarships

At Shenandoah Valley Academy, we believe that a quality education should be accessible to all students, regardless of their financial background. Our scholarship programs are designed to support and recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, leadership potential, community service involvement, and a commitment to our values and mission. We are dedicated to investing in our students' futures by providing them with the financial assistance they need to thrive and succeed in their educational journey.

Our scholarships are available to both new and returning students and are awarded based on a variety of criteria, including merit, need, and specific talents or interests. Academic Scholarships

(renewable each semester)
Academic scholarships for new students are awarded based on transcript GPAs from the previous school year; for current SVA students, the awards are based on the GPA for the first semester of the previous year.

Dorm Community

GPA from 3.75 – 4.0 $1,500 per year $750 per year

GPA from 3.50 – 3.74 $1,250 per year $625 per year

GPA from 3.25 – 3.49 $1000 per year $500 per year

Generational Scholarship

(renewable each year)
The Generational Scholarship is given to a student who is the biological child of an alumnus that graduated from SVA:

2nd Generation — $500
3rd Generation — $1,000
4th Generation — $1,500

Leadership Scholarships

(new students only)
Leadership scholarships will be given to NEW students for class offices held during their previous school year:

President — $500

All other offices — $250

Special Interest Scholarships

Students that have a special interest in music or athletics may be given scholarships up to $2,000. Ask us more about how you can earn this scholarship.

Summer Camp Scholarships

(new students only)
SVA will match 50 percent of the gross earnings of students that have worked at SDA summer camps. Camp wages sent and applied on your SVA account will be matched at 50 percent.
