Meet SVA Student Recruiter Mrs. Espinoza-Ruiz!
Welcome new SVA student recruiter, Mrs. Jennifer Espinoza-Ruiz! As Director of Enrollment, Mrs. Espinoza-Ruiz is enthusiastic about her new role supporting students, and their families, as they enroll at SVA to receive an Adventist boarding school education with the goal of becoming the fulfillment of the SVA mission and vision to become “disciples of Jesus” who “Serve Christ, Value Knowledge, Accept a Life of Service.”
Mrs. Espinoza-Ruiz is passionate and committed to education and to helping students navigate their Adventist education. She desires to help students become advocates for themselves as they excel in school, work, and life. She believes in meeting students where they are, supporting their dreams, and empowering them to follow the path that God has for them.

More about Mrs. Espinoza-Ruiz:
Jennifer is a first-generation Latina college graduate, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Southern Adventist University and her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Andrews University. She has 19+ years of experience in business and in marketing within several business sectors.
Additionally, she served as an academic advisor and international student advisor supporting students by providing individual academic advising and degree planning for students pursuing Associates, Bachelors, and graduate degrees at Andrews University. She was also the Marketing Assistant and implemented new marketing strategies, including social media advertising, off-site recruitment events, and partnerships with other universities.
A core element of Mrs. Espinoza-Ruiz's life is her love of mission work and helping Adventist schools around the world, having served in several countries. In 2016, she was assigned to an Adventist elementary school in Kyauktaing, Myanmar and noticed the school didn’t have a library. With support from family and friends around the world, Jennifer’s dream of building a library full of books and resources came true in 2022. She named it after her son, Ezra A. Ruiz Library, as her son loves to read.
Jennifer has been married to Pastor Alex Ruiz for 14 years and together they have been serving the Lord as a pastoral family.
